Job Description

Rogers Capital Technology Services Ltd is looking for a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join its CORE Network team within the Telco Business Unit.

This role is primarily focused on network troubleshooting and the provisioning of new circuits — supporting customer turn-ups, diagnosing and resolving service issues, and keeping our MPLS L2/L3, Internet, and IP Transit services running smoothly. It's a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their networking career to build strong, practical ISP experience under the guidance of senior engineers.

If you are agile and have a pioneering mind-set, join a winning team so that we can evolve together.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field

• 0–2 years of experience in network operations, provisioning, or troubleshooting (internships and academic labs count)

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching fundamentals

• Basic familiarity with MPLS, VLANs, and WAN/circuit technologies

• Comfortable running structured troubleshooting (isolating faults across L1–L3, interpreting logs and counters)

• Strong attention to detail, especially during circuit turn-up and acceptance testing

• Good verbal and written communication skills for coordinating turn-ups and customer-facing RFO/RCA documentation

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification (in progress or completed)

• Exposure to Cisco routing/switching platforms

• Familiarity with firewall/security platforms

• Basic scripting/automation skills (Python)

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across MPLS L2/L3, Internet, and IP Transit services,  escalating complex cases to senior engineers

• Provision and turn up new customer circuits — configuration, testing, and validation end-to-end

• Perform circuit acceptance testing (throughput, latency, loss) and confirm service is delivered to spec before handover

• Coordinate with NOC, field/last-mile teams, and customers during circuit installation and fault resolution

• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reason for Outage (RFO) documentation for customer-impacting incidents

• Update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory  to reflect newly provisioned circuits and changes

• Support configuration and basic administration of network and security devices

• Follow change management and compliance procedures for all provisioning and troubleshooting activities
