Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate the backhoe loader (JCB) safely and efficiently.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, loading and backfilling works as instructed.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Report equipment defects, breakdowns, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain the machine in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and company procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors and other site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Complete operational records, timesheets, and inspection checklists as required.
• Ensure use and care of company equipment and property.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid driving licence and authorisation to operate a backhoe loader (JCB).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a backhoe loader (JCB) or similar earthmoving equipment.
• Good knowledge of construction site practices and safe operating procedures.
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and daily inspections.
