Role Purpose: 

To ensure the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of bulk and packaged gas products by operating specialized vehicles, maintaining delivery records, and providing professional customer service while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do: 

• Respect route planning.
• Drive and maneuver both heavy bulk liquid tankers and flatbed cylinder lorries safely.
• Ensure gas cylinders are securely loaded and safely operate pumps and hoses for bulk gas transfers.
• Utilize technological devices (smartphones, tablets, or handheld POS terminals) to record deliveries, update logs, and generate client invoices.
• Collect, verify, and safely secure cash and cheque payments directly at the client's place upon delivery and place them into the safe in the truck.
• Complete daily pre-trip checks on vehicle fluids, brakes, tyres, and specialized gas delivery equipment.
• Adhere strictly to the Mauritius Road Traffic Act and international dangerous goods transport standards.
• Interact professionally with clients, verify delivery notes, and collect customer signatures.
• Execute emergency safety protocols immediately in the event of a gas leak, spill, or vehicle breakdown.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of deliveries, pressure gauges and vehicle maintenance issues.
• Update monthly mileage records.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Arrange regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle.
  

Requirements:

• Minimum Form 3
• At least 1 year experience in inflammable products delivery
  
• A valid Heavy Goods Vehicle driving license

Skills & Qualities:

• Computer friendly
  
• Good attitude towards everybody
