We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team on a full-time basis at our Beau Plan office.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Payroll Team with a variety of payroll and administrative tasks while developing the knowledge and practical experience required to become a Payroll Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in payroll. You will receive on-the-job training and gain experience in payroll processing, payroll legislation, payroll software, client service, and payroll administration while working with a varied portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with obtaining payroll information from clients.
  • Supporting the Payroll Team with the preparation and processing of payrolls using payroll software.
  • Assisting with payroll amendments, corrections, and payroll re-runs under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Supporting the preparation and input of payment information into electronic payment platforms.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
  • Responding to payroll queries and providing administrative support to the team.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Assisting with other payroll and administrative duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Enjoys working with numbers and data.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Is eager to learn and develop a career in payroll.
  • Has good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A good standard of education, including English and Mathematics.
  • Previous office or administrative experience is an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
