About Albert Trading Ltd

Albert Trading Ltd is one of Mauritius' leading distributors and retailers of quality lighting, electrical accessories, power tools, home improvement products, and lifestyle solutions. As we expand with the opening of our new showroom in Bagatelle, we are looking for dynamic and customer-focused Sales Specialists to join our growing team.


Job Purpose

The Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by understanding customers' needs, recommending suitable products, and achieving individual and showroom sales targets. The role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

  • Welcome customers professionally and provide a warm, engaging shopping experience.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall showroom performance.
  • Upsell and cross-sell complementary products to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service and after-sales support.
  • Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations, and pending sales.


Product Knowledge

  • Develop a strong understanding of Albert Trading Ltd's product portfolio, including lighting, electrical accessories, power tools, hardware, and home improvement products.
  • Keep up to date with new products, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Provide customers with accurate technical and product information.


Showroom Operations

  • Ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and properly priced.
  • Replenish stock on the sales floor and maintain showroom cleanliness and presentation.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and merchandising new stock.
  • Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and showroom events.


Administration

  • Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Prepare quotations and customer orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer records where applicable.
  • Prepare daily sales reports as required.


Teamwork & Compliance

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve showroom objectives.
  • Comply with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.


Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
  • A Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field will be an advantage.


Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in retail sales, preferably in lighting, electrical products, hardware, home improvement, furniture, or consumer goods.
  • Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system is an advantage.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.
