Our team is growing together with the Group and we are looking for a proactive, organised, and people-oriented Human Resources & Administrative Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Assist in planning and recruitment
- Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, promotions, transfers, warnings, and other HR correspondence.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure personnel files are complete and compliant.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and reference checks.
- Prepare documentation for resignations, terminations, and exit interviews.
- Monitor probation periods and contract renewals.
- Maintain the HR Information System and employee database.
- Assist in preparing monthly HR reports, manpower statistics, and KPIs.
- Coordinate employee training programmes and maintain training records.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
Payroll & Attendance Support
- Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, and timesheets before payroll processing.
- Follow up on missing attendance records and leave documentation.
- Liaise with departments to ensure payroll information is submitted accurately and on time.
Administrative Support
- Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action plans.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and departmental documentation.
- Manage office correspondence and filing systems.
- Coordinate HR-related procurement and supplier documentation when required.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team on various projects and initiatives.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Workers' Rights Act, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee and company information.
- Assist during audits and inspections by preparing relevant HR documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management.
Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience in Human Resources and Administration.
- Experience in payroll administration and recruitment will be an advantage.
- Experience in a retail or multi-site environment is desirable.

- Excellent organisational and planning skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Mauritian employment legislation would be an advantage.
