Job
Profile
The Manager – Landscape
Design is responsible for leading and coordinating the landscape design
function across the Balaclava Golf & Equestrian Estate and, where required,
across the wider Novaterra development portfolio. The post holder provides
client-side technical leadership across the full landscape project lifecycle,
from concept design and planning through to design coordination, procurement
support, site implementation, quality monitoring, handover and operational
maintenance planning.
The role ensures that all landscape interventions
align with Novaterra’s development vision, premium estate positioning,
sustainability objectives, cost parameters, technical requirements, and
long-term operational needs. It also ensures that landscape design is fully
integrated with master planning, infrastructure, environmental performance,
water efficiency, user experience, constructability, and lifecycle asset
management.
MAIN
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the development of landscape concepts,
masterplans, planting schemes, and outdoor design proposals for property
development projects.
·
Contribute to the landscape vision and identity
of the Golf & Equestrian Estate project in Balaclava.
·
Ensure that landscape designs complement the
architectural, environmental, leisure, and lifestyle aspects of the
development.
·
Recommend appropriate plant species, trees,
turf, hardscape materials, irrigation systems, lighting, pathways, signage, and
outdoor furniture.
·
Integrate sustainable landscaping practices,
water-efficient solutions, and environmentally responsible design principles.
·
Manage landscape design projects from concept
stage through to execution, completion, and handover.
·
Coordinate with architects, engineers, golf
course consultants, equestrian specialists, contractors, suppliers, and other
project stakeholders.
·
Review landscape drawings, technical
specifications, design proposals, and material submissions.
·
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress,
quality of works, and compliance with approved designs.
·
Ensure that landscaping works are delivered
within agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and project requirements.
·
Support the planning and implementation of
landscaped areas, green spaces, access roads, common areas, leisure zones, and
estate surroundings.
·
Ensure that landscaping supports the premium
positioning, functionality, and long-term maintenance requirements of the
estate.
·
Identify site constraints, design risks, and
practical issues, and propose suitable corrective actions.
·
Work closely with project and maintenance teams
to ensure that landscaped areas are practical, durable, and easy to maintain
after completion.
·
Liaise with internal departments, consultants,
contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth coordination of landscaping
activities.
·
Present landscape concepts, progress updates,
recommendations, and design options to management.
·
Supervise and guide internal team members,
external consultants, and service providers involved in landscape-related
works.
·
Build effective working relationships with
stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
·
Assist in preparing and monitoring landscape
budgets, cost estimates, and project expenditure.
·
Review quotations, technical proposals, supplier
submissions, and contractor recommendations.
·
Ensure compliance with health and safety
standards, environmental requirements, planning guidelines, and company
procedures.
·
Maintain proper documentation of designs,
approvals, site instructions, reports, and handover records.
CANDIDATE
PROFILE:
·
Minimum 5 -7 years of experience in landscape
design and implementation.
·
Good knowledge in Landscaping strategies,
botany, agronomy, sustainability initiatives.
·
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture,
Landscape Design, Architecture or a related field.
·
A master’s degree or relevant professional
certification would be an advantage.
·
Knowledge of project management methodologies
and budgeting.
·
Understanding of contract administration and
procurement processes.
·
Proficiency in design software such as autocad, sketchup,
adobe creative suite, lumion, revit, or similar.
·
Ability to build and maintain effective working
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Valid driving licence.
