Job Description
Job Brief
The Senior Associate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and advisory engagements for a diverse
portfolio of clients while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality
services. The role involves reviewing tax returns, conducting technical
research, advising clients on tax matters, and supporting Managers and Partners
on complex engagements. The job holder will also supervise and mentor junior team
members, contribute to business development initiatives, and ensure compliance
with applicable tax legislation and professional standards. This role offers

services environment.Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare annual business development plan and initiative
·
Manage a portfolio of tax compliance and advisory
engagements across various industries.

Prepare and review tax returns for corporations,
individuals, partnerships, trusts, foundations, and other entities.
·
Review tax computations and supporting schedules to ensure
accuracy and compliance with applicable tax legislation.
·
Coordinate and oversee end-to-end tax compliance processes,
ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
·
Conduct technical research on complex tax issues and
prepare technical memoranda, reports, and client advisory notes.
·
Provide practical tax advice to clients on compliance
matters, tax planning opportunities, and legislative developments
·
Analyse financial statements, trial balances, and
supporting documentation for tax reporting purposes.
·
Assist clients with direct and indirect tax matters,
including corporate income tax, VAT, TDS, APS, and other statutory obligations.
· Represent and assist clients in responding to tax authority queries, audits, reviews, and assessments.

Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information, discuss
tax matters, and maintain strong professional relationships.

Identify tax risks and recommend practical solutions to
clients and engagement teams.
·
Support Managers and Partners in delivering tax advisory
projects, due diligence assignments, restructuring engagements, and other
special projects.
·
Supervise, review, and provide guidance to Associates and
Junior Associates to ensure high-quality deliverables.
·
Assist in planning engagements, monitoring budgets, and
ensuring assignments are completed efficiently.
·
Contribute to the development of internal methodologies,
templates, and best practices.
·
Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, accounting
standards, and regulatory developments, and share technical knowledge with the
team.
·
Support business development initiatives by identifying
opportunities to expand client services and participating in proposal
preparation where required.
Skills and Qualification
·
Diploma or certification in electrical, electronics,
automation, networking/telecommunications, or a related technical field.
·
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a
related field.
· ACCA, ACA, CPA, CTA, or an equivalent professional qualification (completed or nearing completion).
· Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience in taxation within a public accounting, audit, or professional services firm.
