Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate
Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team at La Clinique Mauricienne.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense
medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist patients
with dispensing medications and completing other sales transactions.
- Comply with the
Pharmacy Act and the Dangerous Drugs Act.
- Issue dangerous
drugs and ensure that all entries are accurately recorded in the Dangerous
Drugs Register.
- Ensure the
proper handover of dangerous drugs at the beginning of each shift during
staff transitions.
- Ensure that the
stock of dangerous drugs reconciles with the Dangerous Drugs Register.
- Dispense
medications to hospital wards and process transfers accordingly in the
system.
- Issue
miscellaneous items upon patient discharge.
- Verify patient
case sheets during the discharge process.
- Prepare the
files of discharged inpatients.
- Participate in
stock management activities.
- Check
medications received from wholesalers and process invoices.
- Ensure the
proper storage of medications and other consumable items.
- Ensure that all
invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be responsible
for the stock management of the Pharmacy and the OT Main Store.
- Participate in
inventory counts.
- Be responsible for cashier duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate/Diploma in
dispensing.
- Minimum 1 year
experience in a similar position.
- Strong interpersonal
skills with the ability to interact with patients and the public.
- Organized, autonomous,
and respectful of instructions and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work
night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
