Job Description
Role Summary
The HSE Coordinator supports the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems across all company operations.
The incumbent assists in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company standards and ISO management systems while promoting a positive HSE culture across project sites and operational activities.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in the deployment and monitoring of HSE Management Plans across project sites.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and company requirements.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and participate in root cause analysis.
- Track corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns and training sessions.
- Support the collection, analysis and reporting of HSE performance indicators.
- Assist in maintaining HSE documentation, records and legal compliance registers.
- Liaise with site management, employees, contractors and relevant authorities on HSE matters.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and behavioural safety throughout the organisation.
Profile / Job Skills
- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management or Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or industrial sectors is desirable.
- Knowledge of management systems standards -ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to follow up and meet deadlines
- Candidates should have their own private car
