Compliance Controller | TecEx | Grand Baie, Mauritius

Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in law)
- Honours degree advantageous
- 3 years' work experience, with at least 2 years in a compliance-related role
- Strong academic track record
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines across jurisdictions
- Comfortable working within established compliance frameworks and regulatory environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com, Jira, or SharePoint advantageous
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across stakeholders
Job Description:
- Prepare and maintain annual board meeting packs, minutes, resolutions, and Director Registers across entities
- Maintain the entity register and compliance calendars, tracking statutory filing deadlines, licence renewals, and corporate trigger changes
- Manage day-to-day Mauritius compliance requirements including FSC management account reporting and coordinating with local accountants and company secretaries
- Run client and supplier due diligence screening using tools such as Pascal, D&B, Experian, and Bridger
- Prepare and review supplier DDQs and log NDA execution ahead of information sharing
- Maintain statutory documents including certificates of incorporation, memoranda, resolutions, and UBO registers across jurisdictions in SharePoint
- Handle KYC processes and confidential data requests from banks, clients, suppliers, and regulators
- Complete monthly compliance checklist sign-offs and escalate exceptions to Group Compliance
- Support each business unit's compliance teams with policy formulation and process oversight
