Job Description
The Assistant Level 1 – Payment Acquiring is responsible for supporting the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and testing of Point of Sale (POS) terminals and related hardware. The role helps ensure equipment operates efficiently, supports timely issue resolution, and minimizes service downtime for clients through a hands‑on and methodical approach to technical support.

- Diagnose and resolve faults affecting POS terminals, printers, card readers, and related hardware.
- Perform repairs, component replacements, and maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
- Conduct testing, firmware updates, and basic diagnostics to support optimal device performance.
- Ensure all equipment is thoroughly tested before being returned to service.
- Maintain accurate repair records, service logs, and updates within internal systems.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and technical equipment.
- Provide technical support and assistance to field service teams as needed.
- Follow established safety and equipment handling procedures during all repair activities.
- Maintain a customer‑focused approach and deliver professional support in all interactions.
- Perform additional related duties as required within the Payment Acquiring team.
Profile
- Minimum HSC or a Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Hardware, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in repairing electronic devices, such as POS terminals, mobile devices, ATMs, or similar equipment.
- Good IT and computer literacy skills.
- Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage tasks with attention to detail.
