ACCOUNTS CLERK

About the Role

Aldrex Suppliers Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join its Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain supplier ageing reports.
• Process local and foreign supplier payments.
• Perform monthly bank and general accounts reconciliations.
• Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for local and foreign purchases.
• Allocate accounting expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process monthly sales commission payments.
• Verify prices, discounts, and product catalogue updates.
• Reconcile cash tills and perform banking duties when required.
• Update vehicle files and maintain proper documentation.
• Participate in stock takes.
• Assist at retail tills when operationally required.
• Prepare Account up to Trial Balance
• File, scan, and archive accounting documents.
• Perform any other accounting and administrative duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Minimum ACCA Level 1 (Applied Knowledge) or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Accounts Clerk or similar accounting role.
• Experience using QuickBooks accounting software is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
