The Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong PHP expertise and experience in modern backend frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, or similar.

In this role, you will develop robust backend solutions, build scalable APIs, improve existing systems, and contribute to modern software projects with a strong focus on quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

You will work closely with our team on international projects and help shape clean, scalable, and future-ready backend architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize modern backend applications using PHP
• Build and enhance scalable APIs and backend services
• Work with modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, or similar
• Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases, queries, and schemas
• Implement clean backend logic using ORM tools such as Doctrine, Eloquent, or similar
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and secure authentication systems such as JWT or OAuth
• Work with queues, background jobs, and asynchronous processing
• Contribute to software architecture, clean code principles, and modern design patterns
• Collaborate with the team using Git, code reviews, and modern version control workflows
• Contribute to testing, debugging, quality assurance, and performance optimization
• Support containerized and cloud-ready development environments, including Docker
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and hosting environments
• Ensure best practices in performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve architecture, tooling, and development processes

Your Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer
• 
  
• Solid experience with modern PHP, ideally PHP 8.x or newer
• Hands-on experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, or similar
• Experience in building and maintaining APIs and backend services
• Good knowledge of MySQL, including query optimization and schema design
• Experience with ORM tools such as Doctrine, Eloquent, or similar
• Good understanding of REST API design principles
• Knowledge of authentication systems such as JWT, OAuth, or similar
• Experience with queues, background jobs, or asynchronous processing is an advantage
• Understanding of software architecture, clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Experience with testing frameworks and quality tools such as PHPUnit, PHPStan, Psalm, or similar is an advantage
• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews
• Experience with Docker or modern local development environments is an advantage
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and hosting environments
• Good understanding of performance, security, scalability, and web best practices
• Structured, reliable, and quality-driven working style
• Very good English skills
