Job Description
Our
client, a a well-established player in the pharmaceutical and distribution
industry, to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the
CEO and the Board, the CFO is a key member of the executive team, responsible
for steering the company's financial strategy, financial planning and analysis,
reporting, audits, compliance and banking relationships. This is a high-impact
leadership role for a seasoned finance professional ready to shape the next
phase of the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
– Develop and implement
financial strategies supporting the company's growth and profitability
objectives
– Oversee the preparation
and presentation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts
– Ensure effective internal
controls, legal compliance and sound corporate governance
Financial
Management
– Manage the company's
financial position, including cash flow, liabilities and assets
– Oversee treasury functions
– banking relationships, investments and capital structure
– Optimise financial
performance through analysis of profitability, revenue and expenditure
Risk
Management
– Identify and manage
financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
– Conduct risk assessments
and keep risk management policies up to date
– Oversee insurance and risk
management arrangements
Reporting
& Compliance
– Deliver timely, accurate
financial reporting to the Board and stakeholders
– Ensure compliance with
financial regulations, tax laws and auditing requirements
– Coordinate regulatory
filings and statutory financial statements
Operational
Efficiency
– Implement and oversee
financial systems and tools to strengthen processes
– Manage relationships with
auditors, tax advisors, banks and financial institutions
– Support operational decision-making
through financial analysis and insight
Leadership
& Team Management
– Lead, mentor and develop a
high-performing finance team
– Partner with fellow
executives; provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board
– Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department
Qualifications
& Experience
– Master's degree in
Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; CPA, CA or CFA
designation preferred
– Advanced knowledge of
financial regulations, standards and compliance requirements
– 10–15 years of progressive
financial experience, including at least 5 years in a senior financial
leadership role
– Proven experience in the
pharmaceutical or distribution industries is highly desirable
– Demonstrated expertise in financial
planning, analysis, budgeting and reporting
– Strong command of
corporate finance, financial modelling and financial risk management
– Hands-on experience with
ERP systems and financial software
