Polytol Paints & Adhesives Manufacturing Co. Ltd is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Laboratory Chemist to join our Technical Department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, developing innovative paint formulations, conducting laboratory testing, supporting research and development, and maintaining compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, product trials and technical evaluations.
• Develop and improve product formulations to meet market and customer requirements.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conforming products, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, technical documentation and test reports.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Support ISO, Ecolabel and other quality management requirements.
• Train laboratory personnel on laboratory procedures and best practices.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping within the laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Sound knowledge of analytical laboratory techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.
