C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.

 

C-Care is currently looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to be based at C-Care Corporate Office, in Mauritius.

 

| Pharmacy Assistant

Reporting to the Retail Pharmacist & Retail supervisor, the selected candidate will support day-to-day pharmacy operations by assisting the team in customer service, administrative tasks, inventory management, and stock handling. The role ensures smooth pharmacy functioning through accurate order preparation, proper goods receipt, and adherence to stock control processes, while contributing to patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

 

What you will be doing:

• Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.

• Ensuring accurate goods receipt processing, including 3-way invoice matching and recording in ERP/HIS systems.

• Identifying and resolving discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or incorrect deliveries.

• Coordinating with pharmacists, procurement, finance, and suppliers to ensure smooth stock flow and issue resolution.

• Maintaining accurate documentation, records, and reports for goods received, invoices, and stock movements.

• Supporting month-end closing, audit requirements, and timely submission of approved invoices for payment.

• Ensuring timely stock placement from receipt to shelf within 24 hours.

• Monitoring inventory levels, expiry dates, and stock rotation, including returns of near-expiry or non-moving items.

• Assisting in stock counts, shelf replenishment, and maintaining proper storage and labelling standards.

• Supporting ordering processes and ensuring continuous stock availability to reduce out-of-stock situations.

• Maintaining compliance with pharmacy procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Contributing to sales performance through upselling, cross-selling, and promoting high-margin products.

• Ensuring proper shelf presentation, planogram compliance, and stock accuracy.

• Supporting operational efficiency through communication, reporting, and participation in process improvements.

 

What are we looking for?

• Cambridge School Certificate (SC) / Higher School Certificate (HSC).

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a pharmacy dispenser or retail pharmacy technician, or in a retail sales environment with proven performance in sales growth, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.

• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical, medication, and healthcare products.

• Strong customer engagement and basic sales techniques skills.

• Ability to support, guide, and coach team members.

• Computer literate with experience in systems such as HIS, Word, and Excel.

• Positive attitude with strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn with a strong sense of responsibility.
