Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to convert design concepts and sketches into accurate technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with applicable Mauritian building regulations, industry standards, and company specifications.
  • Review, update, and amend drawings based on design revisions, site measurements, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with site personnel to ensure drawings accurately reflect project progress and changes.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of all project drawings and revisions.
  • Identify and resolve drafting discrepancies before final submission.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and, when required, outside normal working hours to support project deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD software will be an advantage.
  • Sound understanding of technical drawing principles and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of Architectural, Civil, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) drawings will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Mauritian construction practices and building regulations is desirable.
