Job Description
Key
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings,
layouts, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software such as AutoCAD,
Revit, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers,
and project teams to convert design concepts and sketches into accurate
technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable
Mauritian building regulations, industry standards, and company
specifications.
- Review, update, and amend drawings based
on design revisions, site measurements, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with site personnel to ensure
drawings accurately reflect project progress and changes.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing
of all project drawings and revisions.
- Identify and resolve drafting
discrepancies before final submission.
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines
while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrate the ability to work under
pressure and, when required, outside normal working hours to support
project deadlines.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND)
in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a
related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in
a similar position will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is
essential.
- Working knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks,
or other CAD software will be an advantage.
- Sound understanding of technical drawing
principles and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of Architectural, Civil, and
MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) drawings will be
considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Mauritian construction
practices and building regulations is desirable.
