We require an experienced trust accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience within the offshore sector or in a management/ trust company. The ideal candidate will ideally be ACCA and STEP qualified with solid trust accounting experience.
Your main duties will include:
- Ensure monthly and quarterly trust accounts are prepared in accordance with client expectations, internal policies and deadlines
- Preparation of Annual Financial Statements for both trusts and underlying subsidiary entities
- Assume all-round trust administration and support function in servicing a portfolio of clients
- Assists in the review of trust structures (e.g. perform annual reviews and investments reviews).
The successful candidate must have a core understanding of trust accounting, experience using accounting software and demonstrate effective communication skills. Good knowledge of the Mauritian 2001 Trust Act is also essential as well as the ability to manage conflicting demands under pressure.
