1. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in his duties
2. Assist in preparation of policies
3. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in Preparation of safety plans for construction sites
4. Carrying out safety inspections
5. Recommend to site management of preventive measures to safeguard the safety and health of employees and any other persons who may be affected on site
6. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in holding of safety & health committee meetings to
members
7. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in Preparation and circulation of minutes of safety & health committee meetings
8. Exercising supervision to ensure effective implementation of safety measures and other
arrangements
9. Assisting in accident investigations and dangerous occurrences and in making of reports
10. Assist in conveyance of injured employees to hospital/home
11. Provision of first aid on minor injuries on site
12. Investigation into complaints made by employees and other persons related to the site
13. Keeping and maintaining of records of all injuries/incidents
14. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in designing and implementation of training programmes
Any other cognate duties as may be assigned
