Terminal Coordinator

To supervise and plan the daily operations and production, assuring quality and quantity of output, preparing periodic reports, guidance and instruction to operators to perform their tasks as per procedures.

 

Your Role:

 

  • Control and supervise production and delivery lines by organizing and monitoring work flow;
  • Ensure optimum productivity whilst achieving targeted quality and Health and Safety standards;
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, coaching, disciplining employees, enforcing systems, policies, procedures, standards and reporting;
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by planning, organizing, supervising and reporting of maintenance and repairs of production machinery in collaboration with maintenance team;
  • Responds to emergencies, unplanned operational or maintenance events as per request through coordination of  activities with other departments and supervises workers and controls utilization of resources to ensure smooth running of operations;
  • Ensures general conditions of equipment and identifies maintenance and repairs jobs;
  • Works with Management to program capital equipment replacements and maximizes equipment reliability;
  • Assists Management in implementation and follow-up of new projects;
  • Prepares monthly operation reports for the management and the group;
  • Prepares monthly KPIs to be validated by HOD;
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment;
  • Inspires team towards common goals and improved results, ensures good industrial relations and fosters effective teamwork;
  • Performs any cognate duties related to the job.

 

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Holder of a degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment or holder of a diploma with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Engineering /Production and Operations Management from a recognized institution.
  • Team-oriented, with solid experience in the management of large groups.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Result-oriented, with a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Computer literate, good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluency in English & French, written and oral.
  • Holder of a valid driving licence.
