Technical Manager (Shopfittings/Joinery)

Proactively lead a team of draughtsmen and manage the support service of the design office in a productive manner

Main Duties

• Feed the factory with proper shop drawings in a timely manner
• Manage the process of technical design in accordance with operational and quality procedures
• Develop project design briefs and maintain by regular review, update and sign-off with HODs or Site Engineers
• Liaise with stakeholders (Project Engineers, Commercial department and HODs) to make sure expectations are being met with regards to design objectives
• Set up and monitor the document control system to ensure efficient transfer & record of documents
• Put in place and monitor a quality control system for the design team

 Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in draughtsmanship/technical design for Interiors (shop fittings/joinery)
• At least 10 years of proven experience in a similar position
• Fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D & 3D, CAD+T or similar programs
• Conversant with all different design techniques related to the discipline in producing as-made, construction and shop drawings for shopfittings factory

 Other Requisites

• Possess good leadership skills
• Ready to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
