The senior spa therapist is responsible to provide optimum Spa services to the guests and actively participates in the training of the Spa Therapists.

 

  1. General

    1. Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work
    2. Assists his/her supervisor in executing the day to day operational requirements
    3. Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model
    4. Attends all scheduled training sessions
    5. Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management
    6. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule
    7. Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards
    8. Is seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues in crunch times.
    9. Actively participates in briefings and meetings; facilitates communication between employees and management
    10. Demonstrate full knowledge and professionalism on all training material.
    11. Create a dynamic, effective and ongoing training programs for therapists as well as daily inspections to ensure quality of treatments and standards are meeting expectations. Report any concerns to management in a timely manner.
    12. Maintain proper training logs and daily training update email.
    13. Maintain a supportive and communicative relationship with Spa management.
    14. Contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
    15. Achieve monthly given retail targets and maintain the consistency to be an exemplary professional therapist
    16. Performs any additional duties as assigned.

    Departmental

    1. Provide professional treatments for any guest (male or female) including but not limited to massage, facial treatments and body treatments. Recommend further treatments to guest which address their concerns and preferences
    2. Describe spa treatments knowledgeably and enthusiastically and ask guests pertinent questions, to determine their needs and preferences
    3. Utilize all of the professional products safely and accurately & take reasonable care to perform duties as instructed, and to prevent injuries to self and others
    4. Have a thorough understanding of every spa service including benefits, indications & contraindications for each of the treatments, facials, massages
    5. Ensure treatment rooms are immaculately maintained (including linen, terry and any equipment in the treatment room)
    6. Has good knowledge of Body anatomy and physiology
    7. Adheres to the department policies & procedures, standards and sequence of service.
    8. Records guest preferences in detail after each treatment for future reference.
    9. Efficiently operates Spa Soft system to be informed of bookings and guest details.
    10. Is highly sensitive to guests preferences and special requests; offers meaningful alternatives when special requests cannot be met
    11. Possesses a high degree of product knowledge for both treatments and retail and relevant technical skills.
    12. Conduct accurate monthly inventory for all professional supplies
    13. Up sells the Spa retail as a home care for guests in a personalized and knowledgeable manner
    14. Stays informed of events in the resort and intuitively recommends and effectively up sells resort facilities in a personalized manner.
    15. Provides individual assistance and accurate information in an effective and timely manner; offers a special touch when an opportunity is presented
    16. Adhere to Spa Soft booking schedule and arrive   at least 5 minutes prior to appointment time to meet your guest.
    17. Spa atmosphere must be maintained with proper music, lighting, temperature and aroma.
    18. Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction; reports all glitches to Manager for further follow up
    19. To demonstrate basic leadership skills through the management of designated projects
    20.  Carrying out any other reasonable tasks requested by Management Team to aid the smooth  running of the Spa
    21. Use the correct quantities of products as specified in manual and not exceed that amount.
    22. Take ownership of professional inventory.
    23. Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by company.
    24. Maintain the training plan for new joiners and assist them in their development by providing timely feedback and assessments.
