PROFILE
• Minimum Degree in IT or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in software development
• Analytical skills
• Process and service driven
• Fluent in English and French
• Good organizational and communication skills
•Knowledge of the following will be an advantage
• PL: C#, Java, SQL
• APIs/Frameworks/Libraries: MVC3
• Databases: MS SQL Server 2008
• Web Technologies: C#, JavaScript, XML
• Tools/IDE: Visual Studio .NET 2005/2008
MAIN ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
A technical lead should demonstrate capability in 2 main areas:
- Team Support
- Technical Excellence
- Define and document best detailed technical approach for project architecture, based on the SA’s design and technology choices.
- Make sure that the developers have the right level of understanding (both functional and non-functional) to be able to start coding.
- Provides support to the team to remove impediments to make sure that the project is not blocked.
- Must remain hands on with code and does some level of coding, where deep technical expertise is needed.
- Performs constant code reviews, and ensures that all standards are being followed.
- Know the status of each of the developer’s work and detect risk very early. Zero surprises.
- Accountable for the performance and security of the websites.
- Expertise, guidance and consultancy to both internal teams and external partners.
- Involvement in the on-going improvement of processes and methodologies.
- Review and manage all changes to the technical requirements through a formally defined scope change process.
- Involvement on web projects:
- Feasibility analysis
- Workload estimates
- Technical briefs/requirements
- Validation of development work
- Quality with on time delivery of agreed deliverables.
- Talk to third parties, to make sure that the ecosystem is properly setup.
- Serves as a communication point between the developers and the project managers
