Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the IT sector, and a service provider, is looking for a Senior Software Developer.

 

Our client, in the IT sector, and a service provider, is looking for a Senior Software Developer.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality software solutions via development, testing or support activities and is also actively involved in providing support to junior team members via reviewing and coaching activities. To build and support corporate wide solutions and integrations with several systems and partner products. To help them to achieve this, they are looking for IT colleagues.

Main responsibilities:

  • Apply technical knowledge, skills and expertise to provide development, testing or support service to clients and customers;
  • Achieve delivery of core/customized products in accordance with agreed schedules, procedures and standards;
  • Review deliverables of junior team members;
  • Accurate recording of time, effort and schedule related activities via trackers;
  • Root cause analysis of defects/issues and drive resolution;
  • Good communication skills to achieve excellent customer service;
  • Escalate to the Team Lead and/or Lead Engineer if needed, on risks/issues identified which impact project delivery schedules;
  • Take ownership and do close follow up on project/s assigned;
  • Monitor and control metrics for development, testing or support area;
  • Seek and respond to development feedback.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervision of other personnel may be required in this position and these include:

  • Provide work direction and guidance to junior team members: ensure accuracy of the work of team members via coaching and reviewing, their ability to operate under deadlines and to work on multiple tasks
  • Provide effective team collaboration to rapidly progress projects
  • Provide training to junior team members
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and capture within the team

Development:

  • Work efficiently on development tasks in accordance with the client and project needs and methodology standards
  • Perform code reviews independently, assist in developing revisions and log defects/deficiencies
  • Ensure code satisfies design specifications and complies with project standards
  • Fix all detected errors in accordance with agreed schedule
  • Check that effort/schedule estimates are realistic and once committed upon, these are being met.
  • Resolve design problems
  • Ensure documentation completeness
  • Understand and apply development framework
  • Performing small and basic functional analysis when performing change request and minor adjustments to software
  • Being able to develop a deep understanding and interest in the business processes and in how end users use the software

Qualification:

  • Degree holder in IT/IT related fields.
  • At least 2-4 years’ experience in enterprise software development, testing or support environment.

Candidate profile:

  • Proficient in .NET (C#, Proficient on Web Services, Knowledge on oData/REST, Entity framework, unit testing, …)
  • Proficient in web technologies (MVC, CSS and bootstrap, HTML5, Angular, Typescript…)
  • Knowledge and experience in SSIS and SSRS;
  • Proven knowledge of process methodology;
  • Comfortable with software development concepts and lifecycles;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Goof proficiency in English communication, verbal and written;
  • Team Player/Focus;
  • Customer Service orientation;
  • Meeting targets;
  • Flexibility.
