We are currently looking for a Functional Consultant to successfully deliver quality and cost effective professional services to our clients in the financial (banking/non-banking) sector. The key function of this position consists of gathering precise requirements from clients and provide the right process flow and systems planning to our software development team prior to the development and implementation of financial solutions.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate Project Initiation with potential clients
Create Business Process Requirement Documents as required after specifications gathering exercise carried out with clients
Identify data sourcing requirements and data requirements
Conduct data gap analyses
Conduct interface mapping based on process requirements obtained from clients
Provide advice and guidance on financial/banking compliance issues, accounting processes and interpretation of work flows
Conduct functional training/coaching with Software Development Team
Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design testing plans.
Support System Integration Testing (issue analysis and resolution)
Support regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (issue analysis and resolution)
Ensure effective client engagement and management
Adhere to the company’s project management and governance framework in regard to: The monitoring and tracking of project milestones and deliverables; identify and manage issues and action items; create and maintain project status reports for project leads for incorporation into larger project status reports; proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks; and escalate issues where appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Banking or Economics; or
Bachelor degree (or higher) in IT, Computer Science or Engineering complemented with a strong experience in the Banking industry or Financial Servicing
Experience:
2 to 4 years’ experience in the Banking or Financial Services area
Thorough knowledge of financial services and banking products
Relevant experience in IT project implementation in the Banking of Financial Services sector
Fluency in English, written and oral
Fluent with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) would be a definite advantage
