Senior Engineering Technician (Security) - 010518

As Senior Engineering Technician, you will assist the BU Manager in implementing and running technical projects, while managing resources and complying to set standards/best practice, safety policies and regulations, for continuity of MCB’s business practices in a safe environment.

Detailed Description            

• Respond to customers' queries and requirements in a timely manner and as per set standards (for any planned and unplanned events);
• Organize and follow up on external contractors'/suppliers' interventions for onsite performance, competence, risk consciousness and quality of works;
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary to clarify technical details and overcome problems;
• Prepare and submit for review program of works for projects to ensure completion within agreed timeframe, instructions, standards, best practice and regulations;
• Carry out regular inspection of technical services as well as ongoing installation to ensure MCB requirements are fully met for ease of future maintenance/interventions;
• Schedule interventions as per suppliers and manufacturers requirements for preventive maintenance, prepare inspection sheets and follow up on actions to be taken, to ensure that all technical systems and equipment are in proper working condition;
• Ensure proper operations of the different security systems such as CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Access Control Systems, Fire Detection Systems and related technologies, while complying to set standards/best practice;
• Initiate troubleshooting and repairs for fire alarm and security systems in a timely manner for continuity of business;
• Prepare and submit for approval internal procedures, standards and processes for the different technical equipment/components to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operation;
• Carry out proper markup of technical services for new / modified installations and carry out required modifications for updated As-made drawings to ensure accuracy of site technical drawings;
• Assist Procurement in technical review of suppliers' offers, required clarifications and recommendations for purchase of best value for money equipment.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have completed:

• A Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (Electronic, Automation, extra-low voltage,…) or equivalent;
• A minimum of 5 years’ working experience within the field of technical engineering.
