Senior Dental Assistant

The Senior Dental Assistant oversees clinical operations within the dental unit, supports dentists during procedures, and provides guidance and supervision to junior dental assistants.

Reporting to the Manager – Dental Services, the selected candidate will have the following responsibility:

What you will be doing:

• Assist dentists during advanced and routine dental procedures
• Ensure proper chairside techniques including suctioning, passing instruments, and managing clinical workflows.
• Communicate effectively between dentists, assistants, and administrative staff to minimize delays
• Supervise junior dental assistants and allocate duties for daily operations including Rostering and Time & Attendance Management.
• Train new dental assistants on clinical protocols, infection control, and equipment handling.
• Ensure consistent adherence to clinic standards and SOPs across the team.
• Conduct daily checks on dental chairs, suction units, X-ray machines, and sterilization equipment.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies, place orders, and prevent stock shortages.
• Maintain updated knowledge of infection prevention standards and ensure team compliance 

What are we looking for?

• SC/HSC
• Minimum 3-5-years experience in similar post
• Excellent Communication, Organizational and Leadership Skills.
• Knowledge of the Vipertex Software for time and attendance management
