Security Guard

Objective

 Assist the Chief Security Officer in the overall security of the company premises, assets and safety of the personnel and visitors

 Key DUTIES & Responsibilities 

1. Ensure the properties of the company at all times against theft from both inside and outside.
2. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates by ensuring that no unauthorized person or vehicle enters or leaves the company premises.
3. Patrol regularly and report and any abnormalities.
4. Assist visitors and direct them to the reception in a courteous manner.
5. Assist in cash transit process to the bank and safely escort the cashier or any person carrying cash or any other valuable item belonging to the company.
6. Regulate traffic, organize and control parking of  company vehicles and visitors within  and outside the company’s premises as per company policy
7. Keep record of movement of company vehicle to track  the time in, time out and mileage
8. Record in the security log book all complaints of loss of personal property within the perimeter of the premises.
9. Record all occurrences within the company’s compound in the security log book and report same to the Chief Security Officer for further actions.
10. Monitor the daily keys movement and ensure that all keys have been returned to the Key board
11. Report any breach of discipline to the Chief Security Officer for further action
12. Give proper assistance to the police as and when required
13. Assist in regular assessment of alarm system effectiveness on a daily basis in office blocks after working hours.
14. Ensure  daily and accurate  stock control in the warehouse delivery area after working hours
15. Issue of materials from the store department on a daily basis  after working hours
16. Be well acquainted with all  Security and safety equipment and provide proper assistance to employees and visitors as and when required
17. Protect the company’s assets against  natural disasters and respond to all emergencies
18. Perform any other cognate duties related to Security and HR as delegated by the Chief Security Officer or its delegate.
