SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

RT Knits is a leading textile company and a pioneer in the textile manufacturing sector in Mauritius, with 50 years of enriched experience, innovative technologies and practices.

We are currently recruiting Software Developers and the main duties (non-exhaustive) will be as follows:

Main Duties & Responsibilities

▪ Research, design, develop and implement databases modules from scratch, using analysed workflows;

▪ Develop User Interfaces depending on requirements and ideas;

▪ Work with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance;

▪ Analyse information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system;

▪ Document database systems;

▪ Test database systems;

▪ Maintain existing databases;  

▪ Training new Users.

Desired Education & Experience

▪ Degree in Computer Science or related degree;

▪ Additional professional Certificate(s) in programming / computer field would be an advantage;

▪ At least 1 year of experience.

Desired Skills & Traits

▪ Sound Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL)

▪ Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, JAVA, PHP 

▪ API  

▪ Mobile development  

▪ Knowledgeable in new IT trends [E.g. Low Code | No Code | IoT]

▪ Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

▪ Good written and spoken English and French

▪ Good presentation skills
