MC Vision is a joint venture with Media Overseas (part of the CANAL+ Group) and the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, offering direct-to-home satellite Pay TV services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a team leader, to manage the IT software systems and applications team.
- Identify and organize requirements and producing specifications for new projects.
- Coordinate installation of software systems and share expertise throughout the organization.
- Support the creation and maintenance of IT related process and documentation.
- Participate in team knowledge management and make recommendations for continuous improvement of internal procedures and new developments.
- Manage, monitor, update/upgrade and backup Databases & Application Servers.
- Manage the Tomcat Application servers, including fine tuning, testing and deployment of applications.
- Responsible to manage, maintain and enhance the BI platform.
- Identify key business process, analyze and gather requirements to enhance and develop new functionalities, systems, modules and BI reports.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- AT least 2 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practice.
- Understanding of, and experience with, client-server computing and relational database environments.
- Good sql knowledge and be well acquainted with sql scripts and programming.
- Experience with data management and data processing.
- Good Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Technical documentation skills.
- Ability to present ideas in a user friendly language.
- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of oracle and dba will be an advantage
