Reservation Agent

MyJob.mu is looking for one of his client a Reservation Agent

Job Purpose:

To handle reservations for the Seasonal Rentals department.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle and coordinate all enquiries (email and phone) 

2. Work in close collaboration with other Reservation Agents to make sure that all booking requests (mail, telephone calls, walk-ins) are replied within timely manner and run smoothly

3. Develop and strengthen new and existing business relation with our B2B partners

4. Liaise between the customers and various departments to ensure proper handling of Bookings & Request

5. Up sell and cross sell in order to maximize and optimize bookings

6. Apply cancellation policies and stop sales where applicable

7. Send queries for unexpected arrivals

8. Manage overbooking by proposing upgrade or compensation to clients, prior arrival

9. Increase sales of new or additional services like Early check in, Late check out, Transfers, Activities any other services as decided by the company

10. Record and ask for guest, flight details, preferences / request / allergy etc prior arrival

11. Issue and follow uf of proforma invoice 

12. Assist in tracking of discrepancies and in coming with solving solution together 

13. Training of new staff within the company

14. Keep and maintain of a clean and organized working environment

Profile:

1. Holder of HSC / Bac / International Baccalaureat

2. OTA and Direct reservation is a must

3. Previous guest and reservations experience preferred

4. Previous call center experience preferred

5. Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications

6. Excellent written and oral communication skills

7. Excellent listening and comprehension skills

8. Fluent in verbal and written English and French, an additional language would be a plus

9. Able to work independently as well as within a team

10. Positive interpersonal skills
