We are looking for an experienced Recreation Manager to assist and support management in all operational procedures and codes of conduct as set down by the management and to promote the recreational facilities and services.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist in instigating and maintaining all systems in the recreational facilities.
  • To ensure that all operational procedures are carried out in the prescribed manner.
  • To ensure that the facility is adequately manned at all times.
  • To ensure proper induction and training of all employees is carried out.
  • To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the facility at all times.
  • To ensure that the Health and Safety Policy is adhered to and the systems and procedures are maintained at all times.
  • Directly responsible for overseeing and maintaining the high standard of service in the fitness studio, maintaining the fitness protocol and the development of the product.
  • Directly responsible for all areas of membership sales at the recreational facilities and guiding and driving the sales team to achieve budget.
  • Responsible for opening/closing procedures when on duty.
  • To attend senior management meetings in both the recreational facilities and hotel as required.
  • To oversee the recruitment, induction, training, development, appraisal and discipline of all recreational facilities fitness and Pool staff.
  • To instigate regular meetings with both the fitness staff and Pool staff to motivate and be aware of staff needs and aspirations.
  • To set a standard at all times in professionalism, appearance and attitude as expected of all recreational facilities personnel.
  • To receive training to ensure that all-relevant legislation pertaining to the health and safety of working with children is maintained.



PROFILE REQUIRED
Education

  • Current CPR & First Aid certification


Experience

  • Must have at least 24 months experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Experience working with children in an activity environment.
  • Previous responsibility for safety standards.
