Our client, a shipping company, is looking for a Receptionist (1 year contract).
Our client, a shipping company, is looking for a Receptionist (1 year contract).
The successful candidate will be responsible to provide a professional receptionist service to both internal and external customers.
Main responsibilities:
- Attend calls in a professional and respectful manner;
- Ensure that the switchboard is manned at all times and that calls are answered immediately, in a polite manner and transferred to the right department/employee;
- Welcome all visitors coming to the office in a professional manner;
- Assist with any admin related tasks, such as handling of despatch, transport arrangements, etc;
- Assist with finance related tasks, i.e. sorting of invoices, etc;
- Provide basic assistance to customers, with requests such as tracking of their shipment, for example;
- Ensure the reception area is always clean and tidy;
- Ensure entrance doors with magnetic security are functioning properly at all times;
- Ensure correct entries are made in Registered Postal Booklets;
- Interface with courier services to ensure timely pickup of parcels;
- Make taxi arrangements for employees on request;
- Manage stationery as well as other supplies stock and costs;
- Other ad-hoc administrative duties.
Qualification:
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience
- Minimum SC
