Our client, in the manufacturing sector and a service provider, is looking for a Production Manager (6 months contract).

The successful candidate will be responsible to manage the manufacturing operation in Mauritius.

Main responsibilities:

• Planning and organising production schedules;
• Assessing project and resource requirements;
• Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers;
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met;
• Determining quality control standards;
• Overseeing production processes;
• Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary;
• Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials;
• Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment;
• Supervising the work of junior staff;
• Organising relevant training sessions.

Qualification:

• Mechanical or Industrial engineering qualification;
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Production Manager;
• Experience managing multiple production lines;
• Technical experience essential
• Experience managing labour intensive production.
