Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the financial sector is looking for a Portfolio Manager.

 

Our client, in the financial sector is looking for a Portfolio Manager. 

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will have decision‐making authority on client matters and successful associates will earn more client responsibilities with experience and tenure within the company. The incumbent will develop and research new investment ideas for clients, perform continuing due diligence on existing investments, and serve as a member of the Investment Committee. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Provide investment advice to clients 
  • Help to develop the client base 
  • Interact and build a good rapport with Relationship Managers of the Group on the wealth management needs of the clients 
  • Work with the Fund Manager to develop new investment products/ ideas 
  • Meet with Senior Client Advisors to review and manage client portfolios and investment guidelines 
  • Independently monitor and suggest changes to client portfolios 
  • Generate investment guidelines specific to client risk tolerances and goals 
  • Utilize Morningstar, Bloomberg, Value Line, and other research software to screen for new investment ideas and maintain due diligence on existing holdings 
  • Actively participate as a member of the Investment Committee include covering different regions 
  • Manage research projects assigned by the Investment Committee 
  • Complete Special projects as needed

Qualifications: 

  • The candidate is expected to be suitably qualified from an accredited tertiary institution 
  • CFA designation (or working towards one) 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years post qualified experience within suitable sector 
  • Exposure to High Net Worth clients / individuals and appropriate investment strategies 

Candidate Profile: 

  • Passion for Investment with a curious mind 
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • Proven leadership experience 
  • Ability to work as a team player 
  • Culturally astute - able to influence at a senior level to achieve the best outcome for the organisation 
  • Client first attitude, personal integrity and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility 
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to think clearly and broadly 
  • Strong client relationship skills 
  • Solution driven , creative and innovative 
  • Strong analytical skills
