Cim Finance is recruiting a Payroll and Human Resources specialist to ensure the correct, timely payment of all employees in accordance to laid down legislation and company policy. As well as provide a support function to the broader company on people related initiatives and matters.
Cim Finance is recruiting a Payroll and Human Resources specialist to ensure the correct, timely payment of all employees in accordance to laid down legislation and company policy. As well as provide a support function to the broader company on people related initiatives and matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculating monthly the correct amount to be paid to employees incorporating hours worked, overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a payroll system
- Calculate and ensure the correct processing of PAYE and payment of employee benefits and deductions
- Keep track of and retain accurate data
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Stay abreast of legislation, regulations and taxation pertaining to payroll and ensure their correct implementation
- Create and document payroll and Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees in a clear and consistent manner
- Address payroll related issues at senior levels and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the operations of the department closely to ensure deadlines are consistently met
Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or Accounting
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Ability to work accurately with numbers
- Proven track record in using HRIS
- Expert knowledge in Mauritian labour law
Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in Payroll
- Experience in generalist HR is an advantage
