Patch Management Coordinator

The Patch Management Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the patching activity on client’s equipment

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow up on monthly auto-patching and manual campaigns  
  • Create patching tickets and provide all required information to technical teams 
  • Ensure that all required information is up to date and readily available in the CMDB 
  • Communicate the planning to clients (if needed) 
  • Create investigation tickets if the prerequisites to auto-patching or manual patching are not implemented 
  • Ensure that all documentations about patching procedures are up to date   
  • Liaise with technical teams to follow up on recurring issues pertaining to patching tools or server level problems 
  • Communicate to clients about action plans for the recurring technical issues 
  • Plan, if required, a second shot patching after investigations  
  • Prepare and provide patching reports (with analysis) to clients 
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to patching 
  • Be the main contact for patching subjects both internally and externally (clients)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Apprehension of technological/web environment as well as physical and virtual IT infrastructures: 
  • Knowledge in the following fields: o Servers o OS (Windows/Linux) 
  • A knowledge of different types of service contracts (SLA, KPI, contractual documents) 
  • Microsoft Office tools (MS Excel, Pivot Tables, MS PowerPoint) 
  • Good data analytical skills 
  • Principles of project management and ITIL 
  • Good written and spoken English and French 
  • Understand the clients' expectations 
  • Excellent communication skills (Active listening, accuracy & clarity, diplomacy
  • Autonomy, rigor, sense of service 
  • Team Spirit 
  • Good methodology  
  • Organizational skills 
  • Stress management

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in IT would be an advantage or at least 1 year in the IT sector or IT project management
