PHP Developer

Our business headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, focuses on mobile transacting and the development of digital applications, while specialising in integration into retailer’s point-of-sale’s.
We are looking for PHP developer with at least 3 years’ experience to join our marketing team.

OBJECTIVE

Our business headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, focuses on mobile transacting and the development of digital applications, while specialising in integration into retailer’s point-of-sale’s.
We are looking for PHP developer with at least 3 years’ experience to join our marketing team. You will primarily be responsible for creating the wiGroup PHP website that act as marketing and customer facing tool. You will be responsible for optimizing the wiGroup website for mobile browsing across iOS and Android. You will also be exposed to other wiGroup projects. The current posting will be in Mauritius.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coding all visual design elements  as received from designers
• Maintaining website
• UX/UI design

1. REQUIREMENTS

• Strong in using OO PHP
• Laravel 5 
• Word Press
• Dependency management tools
• Revision software knowledge (Git, SVN, Mercurial)
• HTML/CSS
• JavaScript (Frameworks will advantageous e.g. Angular/Vue
• Experience in/exposure to REST & SOAP web services
• Experience with payment gateway integrations
• Database design & development (3NF/BCNF normalisation, DDL, DML, DCL & TCL)
• Knowledge of advanced database concepts (JOINS, UNIONS, Stored procedures, triggers, etc)
• MySQL5.7 experience
• LAMP Stack knowledge
• AWS/VPS knowledge (Rackspace/DigitalOcean/etc)
• XML/JSON knowledge

2. Qualifications

IT or related technical degree


Significant/ proven work experience in PHP development
