Mechanical Engineer

As a vibrant and developing Building Services Consultancy, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer who will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects

• Carry out detailed Mechanical, Plumbing & Firefighting services design on new build and refurbishment construction projects
• Attend project, technical, design, value engineering meetings alongside other staff members
• Inspect and report on mechanical building services systems
• Carry out surveys, feasibility studies and condition survey and generate reports in accordance with the company report format
• Prepare specification and undertake contract administration process of projects. Work with other design team members as required as part of an overall project team. Ensure the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements.
• Utilise Building Services software for calculations
• Produce marked up drawings for CAD by others or direct CAD/Revit design drawings for issue
• Select and specify products, equipment and installation standards relating to Mechanical services suitable for the costing and installation by contractors
• Attend site as part of the construction phase activities and participate in site meetings. Assist in the preparation of snagging lists, valuations and end of defects inspections as required
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Registration with CRPE or UK Engineering council will be an advantage
• Holder of valid driving licence
• Minimum 3-5 years experience
