Manager - Internal Audit

The Manager - Internal Audit will be responsible of organising and overseeing internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. He/she will oversee the review process then make necessary recommendations to change policies.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive annual audit plan covering all the activities of the Group, using input from the Audit Committee to identify priorities for the year;
  • Act as the Group’s point of reference for all Audit matters by liaising with the external auditors to ensure adequate audit coverage and to minimize duplicate efforts;
  • Ensure quality control of the team’s audit plans on an ongoing basis by reviewing and approving plans as they are developed;
  • Develop, implement and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls;
  • Prepare and submit written audit reports and make cost-effective recommendations to improve operational efficiency and promote good corporate governance practices;
  • Lead the Internal Audit team in the execution of the annual Audit Plan thru appropriate planning and resource management;
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the latest techniques and professional audit standards locally and internationally and develop new methodologies to improve the audit processes within the Group;
  • Keep abreast of developments in Corporate Governance practices and legislation and advise the audit committee accordingly.


Pre Requisites & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience at a supervisory level;
  • Past experience in either external or internal audit will be a definite advantage;
  • Master Degree and/or any equivalent qualification;
  • Institute of Internal Auditors or equivalent finance qualification with Internal Audit experience;
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ICSA, etc...) or degree holder.

  • Good coordinating capacity, organisational, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of Business Processes.
  • Good Report Writing Skills.
  • Decisive.
  • Outgoing Personality and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written English and French).
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office Tools.
