Organise, plan, direct and control of the Maintenance Department and its team member, and organizing workloads and team members assignments.
To ensure that a level of zero defect is obtained by using the preventative maintenance system. Update and maintain existing equipment.
Supervises and correlates the Maintenance Department’s involvement, with other hotel’s department/s, suppliers, engineers, architects, contractors, and outside agencies.
Make maintenance and purchasing decisions for equipment, tools, and supplies within the department and supervising the use of such supplies.
Coordinate contract services for the maintenance of hotel’s equipment
Supervise the installation, repair and replacement of systems.
Ensure all water features are maintained to standard and serviced once a month.
Checking and maintaining all plant room equipment.
To attend and participate actively in daily Management briefing/ monthly Management meeting, and communicate relevant information gathered to his/ her team members.
Ensure punctuality, control absenteeism and take corrective actions where necessary
Regularly check grooming (appearance, personal hygiene and uniforms) of team members according to hotel standards, and also team members’ attitude towards both internal (colleagues) and external guests, and also check discipline so as to enhance the image of the establishment.
Ensure that all Maintenance stocks are being kept securely and under the correct conditions applicable to each type of commodity stored.
To ensure that all documents are sent to the Accounts Department immediately for processing.
To keep accurate records of tasks and duties performed everyday. Also keep records of problems and servicing.
