Reneworld Ltd is currently looking for a Lorry Driver to join our dynamic and purpose-driven team.
OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
The Lorry Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport and delivery of materials using company vehicles equipped with cranes. The role requires strict adherence to company policies, road safety regulations, and customer requirements, while ensuring that all goods are handled with care and professionalism.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivery of Materials
- Adhere to the delivery schedule communicated by the Transport Officer.
- Ensure Materials are properly and safely loaded on the Vehicle.
- Adhere to delivery deadlines.
- Report promptly to the Transport Officer in case of any delay or incident affecting delivery.
- Handling of Vehicle and Equipment
- Ensure vehicle is in good running condition.
- Ensure the Crane is functioning properly.
- Monitor and notify the Transport Officer of upcoming maintenance or servicing schedules.
- Comply with all traffic codes, road safety regulations, and company vehicle policies.
- On-Site Delivery
- Coordinate with customer or installation team to confirm delivery arrangements.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and customer site guidelines.
- Operate the crane safely to unload materials at the designated delivery point.
- Ensure no damage is made to third party property during operations.
- Vehicles, Equipment and Materials Responsibility
- Conduct daily checks on vehicle and equipment status prior to leaving the premises.
- Report any anomalies timely to the Transport Officer.
- Verify that all statutory documents are valid and available.
Profile Requirements
- Possess a valid heavy goods driving license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Other Requirements
- Medically fit and in good physical condition.
- Recent and clean Certificate of Character.
- Willingness to work flexible or odd hours when required.
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Disciplined with good work ethics.
- Ability to work in a team and follow guidelines accurately.
