Lead for Group Application Support is expected to ensure efficient running of applications by monitoring the application performance as per the desired business and technology outcomes; connecting with vendors and use his/her technical skills to ensure smooth running of these applications.

 

The Lead - Group Application Support is expected to ensure efficient running of applications by monitoring the application performance as per the desired business and technology outcomes; connecting with vendors and use his/her technical skills to ensure smooth running of these applications. Incident management and support incidents will require coordination with suppliers and in house resources for delivering support as per the system availability hours. Change management (by vendor or in-house) on the applications will also be coordinated by this role. 

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Proper understanding of issues and resolution
  • Database Import/Export, Windows Scheduler setup, Windows Batch script writing, Basic Linux and UNIX commands at the level of housekeeping
  • Being available and vigilant for addressing the issues in Sapphire
  • Resolution has to be with quality with a scope of Long Term and Short Term Fixes ensuring business continuity.
Competencies, Experience & Qualifications:
Degree holder in computer science or related field with knowledge on Database Handling, Windows/Linux/Unix Batch/Shell scripting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Good knowledge on setting up Windows Scheduler and Batch File Creation
  • Good knowledge on minimum two Database (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Knowledge on AIX will be an add on
  • Past experience on banking applications support exposure as IT team will be preferred
  • Communication – Candidate must have clear and good communication skill which will help in clear and effective understanding on requirement and solution with the customer (Bank Users) and vendor. 
  • Technical Skills – Basic knowledge on handling Database, Windows, Linux/Unix will be required for all in-house support and housekeeping. 
  • Attitude – Candidate must have a good attitude while providing support for the group applications. Must have attitude is “Ready to learn”. 
  • Quality of Work – Candidate must deliver a quality work within internally specified SLAs.
