Laundry Supervisor

You are responsible to oversee the Linen and uniform attendants towards achieving the operational objectives while ensuring that the hotels operational standards are met. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, marking, washing, and ironing clothes or linen in laundry

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the administration and supervision of the Laundry operation.

• Handle guest complaints and inform Laundry Manager of any damage to guest property as soon as it occurs.

• To assist in preparing month end figures on linen quantities used per month for Rooms / Food and Beverage.

• To assist in preparing month end write off figures of Linen rooms and Food and Beverage for the Laundry Manager.

• To make the Laundry Manager aware of shortage of linen and replacing written off items with new linen.

• To make sure agreed opening times in Linen room are observed.

• To ensure the counting of linen being sent out and returned is correct – keeping strict accounting procedures. Any discrepancies to be reported to the Laundry Manager.

• To spot check incoming linen regarding quality of washing and pressing from the contractual laundry

• To check quantity of incoming linen.

• To make sure any linen with holes or damages are examined and either repaired or discarded. To investigate why the damage occurred.

• To make sure sufficient linen is in circulation.

• To undertake any other duties requested by the Laundry Manager

Required:

• 1 year experience as laundry supervisor
• Fluent in English & French (Writing & spoken)
• Computer literate
• Ready to work flexible hours
