Candidate Profile:
- Working experience in similar position
- Dynamic, Motivated, Pleasant, Extrovert and Client Oriented individual
- Good administration, interpersonal and Communication skills
- Computer Literate (Excel & Words)
- Residing in the West or South-West Region would be an advantage
- Holder of a valid Driving License (Motorcycle/Private Car)
Job Description:
- Provide appropriate training to the gardeners when necessary
- Responsible for the day to day organization of the department and coordination of duties of staffs
- Plan and organise workloads and staff assignments
- Establish an effective all round control of the department
- Ensure that the landscape areas are preserved to their natural state
- Ensure the watering and nurturing of all indoor plants, including flowerpots and all corridor plants
- Control of Invasive plant species at all times to prevent any infestation
- Dead or missing plants should be reported and replaced
- All Hardscape (Signs, Pathways, Handrails, Wooden Bridges, etc.) should be kept clean and any damage to be reported immediately
- Ensure that all dustbins and ashtrays are emptied and cleaned on a daily basis
- Ensure that the Tortoises Park is cleaned and that the Tortoises are fed twice everyday
- Arrange for the application of Herbicides along the Road, on the Pathways and Parking in a timely manner
- Remove all excess soil or waste from Pathways, Drains & Waterways after heavy rains
- Ensure that all the services (C.E.B. & M.T.), Roofs & Gutters are not covered/obstructed
- Ensure that all items, equipment and premises under responsibility are clean, well maintained, servicing done at prescribed times and any damage reported immediately
- Make use of the Company Vehicle to transport Plants, Materials and Gardeners when necessary
- Responsible for a systematic and regular inventory control of all items and expenses of the department.
- Effective and efficient management of the duty roster for the department
- Monitor attendance management and address issues
- Keep accurate records of tasks and duties performed every day, and attend to any other administrative works
- Check grooming of staff according to company standards
- Resolves staff grievances and other personal matters in accordance with the company policies
- Be able to work closely with Management and subordinates, manage a diverse team and stimulate motivation at work
- Work as part of a team and establish a two way communication network with subordinates
- Ensure work is performed and equipment used in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety Regulations
- Ensure that the Store is clean at all times, and that all the Equipment and Chemicals/Pesticides are stored at their respective place
- Any other cognate duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management to facilitate the smooth running of the Landscaping Department
