Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the financial sector is looking for an Investment Analyst.

 

Our client, in the financial sector is looking for an Investment Analyst.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the successful candidate will be tasked to provide research and information to help portfolio and fund managers make decisions about investments. The research will determine and ensure that Investment portfolios are well managed and that potential investment opportunities are highlighted

Main Responsibilities:

  • Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies
  • Look back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision
  • Liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals
  • Monitor closely financial press and keep a track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products, locally and at investment level
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
  • Develop financial models and analyse legal documents
  • Perform any cognate duties as may be assigned by the Company or reporting line or CEO or Deputy CEO, CIO, COO or relevant
  • Conduct due diligence on companies and industries by researching, reading financial statements and market data
  • Analyse financial information relating to specific companies, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how an organisation is positioned to deliver for investors
  • Keep track and update investment recommendations

Qualifications:

  • CFA designation or working towards one
  • The candidate is expected to be suitably qualified as a graduate in one of these discipline Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics with relevant professional experience
  • 2 years plus post qualified experience within suitable sector
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to understand, analyse and produce suitable management information to validate and highlight the strengths, weaknesses and nuances of the individual business lines from them and to ensure that implementing change enhances the whole business.
