Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the financial sector, is looking for an Internal Audit Manager.

 

Our client, in the financial sector, is looking for an Internal Audit Manager.

Reporting to the CEO / Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for organising and overseeing internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan. He/she will oversee the review process then make necessary recommendations to change policies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive annual audit plan covering all the activities of the Group, using input from the Audit Committee to identify priorities for the year;
  • Act as the Group’s point of reference for all Audit matters by liaising with the external auditors to ensure adequate audit coverage and to minimize duplicate efforts;
  • Ensure quality control of the team’s audit plans on an ongoing basis by reviewing and approving plans as they are developed;
  • Develop, implement and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls;
  • Prepare and submit written audit reports and make cost-effective recommendations to improve operational efficiency and promote good corporate governance practices;
  • Lead the Internal Audit team in the execution of the annual Audit Plan thru appropriate planning and resource management;
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the latest techniques and professional audit standards locally and internationally and develop new methodologies to improve the audit processes within the Group;
  • Keep abreast of developments in Corporate Governance practices and legislation and advise the audit committee accordingly.

Qualification:

  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ICSA, etc...) or degree holder.
  • Master Degree and/or any equivalent qualification;
  • At least 5 years’ experience at a supervisory level;
  • Past experience in either external or internal audit will be a definite advantage;
  • Institute of Internal Auditors or equivalent finance qualification with Internal Audit experience;

Candidate profile:

  • Good coordinating capacity, organisational, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of Business Processes.
  • Good Report Writing Skills.
  • Decisive.
  • Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written English and French).
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office Tools.
