IT Systems Specialist (ERP) - (1805-ITSYSSPE)

Our Client is seeking to recruit an IT Systems Specialist (ERP) for its operations. The candidate's role is to perform analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation and modification of properly engineered information systems.

Responsibilities:

. Analyses and models user requirements, specifies information flows, processes and procedures,  data objects and dialogues between information systems and their users.

.  Converts logical specifications into more detailed designs taking account of the technical and non- technical features and limitations of the target implementation environment.

. Interprets object/data models into appropriate DB schema within set constraints (e.g. consistency, security, ownership) and produces object database components as required.

. Constructs or modifies tests and corrects large and/or complex program modules from        specifications.

. Defines the software modules that comprise an integration build, ensures that they meet the        defined software test criteria and produces software builds for loading onto target hardware from      software source code.

. Produces or makes required revisions to administrative or manual procedures.

. Undertakes all work in accordance with required technical and quality standards and using        appropriate methods and tools in order to achieve well-engineered products which exhibit the        necessary attributes such as fitness for purpose, reliability, efficiency, security, safety,        maintainability and cost effectiveness.

. Documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.

. Translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Produces detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery and restart procedures.

. Produces re-usable test scripts and procedures (with expected results) to test new and amended  software to be executed by self and other staff. Produces plans to test the effect of the new and       changed software on existing systems.

. Provide training as and when appropriate

Profile:

. Educated to degree level or holds an equivalent professional qualification or has proven level of experience

. Certification in an ERP System would be an advantage, specifically Supply Chain Management, Production/Manufacturing and Finance

. 3 years' experience in the implementation and support of ERP Systems

. Has a full understanding of issues related to ERP implementation

. During implementation, the candidate may be required to work above normal hours of work

. Demonstrates a strong ability to communicate at all levels

. Demonstrates ability to deliver training at all levels

. Shows a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving with good attention to detail

. Has good interpersonal skills and takes a methodical and systematic approach to work

. Prior experience of interpersonal skills, managing interaction developments and the development processes

. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

. Self motivated and good planner
