Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the shipping and logistic sector, is looking for an IT Administrator.

 

Our client, in the shipping and logistic sector, is looking for an IT Administrator.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to manage all aspects of IT related subjects for both hardware and software with the Company (Mauritius) ltd.

Main responsibilities:

  • Administrate and maintain IT Systems in Operational conditions. This includes but is not limited to Servers (Data, Soft, …), Routers, Proxy, Firewalls, Switches, Workstations, Telephony, …
  • Setup, install and maintain all Software
  • Manage Networks (Local Network, Internet Access) and supervise Technical Infrastructure as per Group Standards and Recommendations
  • Manage Safety and Security setups as per Group standards to maintain Data integrity. This includes but is not limited to Access management as well as Group Safety Policy management
  • Manage Data Backups as per Group Standards
  • Be entry point for all local support to End Users (for both troubleshoot and configuration)
  • In case of System failure and/or Security breach, manage diagnostics and action plans in close coordination with Group IT Global Support
  • Implement Event Logs for Daily Events recording
  • Manage all VoIP Telephony systems in close coordination with Group Global Support
  • Manage and keep up to date full inventory of all IT related Equipment (Hardware and Software)
  • Manage all consumables related to IT Equipment (Toners, Cartridge…)
  • In charge of all Group instructions related to all levels of backups
  • In charge of all reporting related to IT subjects
  • In charge of IT Budget for the Company (Mauritius) Ltd, which includes Replacement Planning as per Administrate and maintain IT Systems in Operational conditions. This includes but is not limited to Servers (Data, Soft, …), Routers, Proxy, Firewalls, Switches, Workstations, Telephony, …

  • Manage Internet Provider, which includes connection monitoring as well as contract management
  • Report in a timely manner issues/risk to IT management
  • Escalate for management alert decision, whenever suitable, with a clear description of the issue/risk and proposal for solution or mitigation
  • Manage Business Continuity plans for all aspects of IT matters (Hardware and Software), which include precautionary measures to prevent Service disruptions
  • Implement Standards Process for all IT related actions (Hardware and Software) and when/if required by Local Management and/or Group Management
  • Actively participate in End Users training for all IT related subjects, in close coordination with Cluster HR Manager

Qualification:

  • Degree in Information Technology
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar position

Candidate profile:

  • Hardware Infrastructure Management
  • Software Maintenance Management
  • French/English Spoken & Written
  • Excellent written, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, to Drive projects, to Take Initiatives
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Excel
